Google SSO (saml) setup IMAP in mail client
I've been trying to setup IMAP inboxes in clients after the org is SAML'd to Okta.

according to this link (https://support.okta.com/help/articles/Knowledge_Article/Google-Apps-Deployment-Guide) (as i read it) i can setup IMAP email in e-mail clients even when the org is saml'd.

 

I can't seem to get it working.

 

I've turned on the sync password checkmark, but it doesn't seem to sync through.

Does anyone have experience with this. Or now of any pitfalls?

    Actually, you need to activate 2FA too on that Google account. This way you can create an App password to use for IMAP

    "Does SAML SSO work with POP3 or IMAP?

    No, SAML only works with the G Suite web applications."

     

    Keep in consideration that Users will still log in from OKTA but, they will also be able to log in like regular users from web
