Ketan Solanki (Customer) asked a question.

Does Okta support attributes with pre-defined values (like drop down field)?
We need to add custom attributes to Okta User profile and one of the attribute is Employee Type which has predefined values that we want to display on UI as drop down field. Is it currently supported in OKTA?

  • Hi Ketan,

The object type you are refering to a a reference type, it would allow the drop down functinonality you mention but unfortunatly this is not a UD suppprted feield (yet).  It sounds like others have requested this functinoality based on this Idea (feature request) I found https://support.okta.com/help/ideas/viewIdea.apexp?id=0872A000000XaFE.  I would recommend recomend voting for this this Idea or submitting your own if the above does not fit your exact scneario. Once feature requests are submitted they are visible to other Okta admins, who can vote on them to provide more visibility.  Using this method will allow you to maintain visibility on your feature requests throughout the process.
