ewwm0 (ewwm0) asked a question.

Activation e-mail notices to admin even when notices disabled
We set up AD integration and configured the settings so that activation e-mails are not sent. I imported my users and did not immediately activate them. When I was ready to activate them, I got the "Activate People" pop-up that said "an activation e-mail will be sent to each user ...", and when I clicked Activate, there was a message saying "Activation e-mail sent to [##] people." But I'm pretty sure that because of the directory integration settings, no activation e-mails were actually sent. Is there a disconnect between the AD integration settings and the on-screen prompts?

    Hi David,

Thanks for posting your inquiry via Okta Support Community Portal.

Yes, there is no activation email will be sent upon manual activation due to the Directory Integration settings' "Don't send new user activation emails for this domain" box. This has been discussed thru our support channel and I do recommend to submit a support case to better track this UI enhancements/ or workflow regarding manually "activating" Active Directory mastered users.

    Best,
