What exactly is a developer account?
My company already uses Okta and I already have admin access to the account. I'm trying to build a custom app that uses Okta for authentication. It appears I need to create a custom authorization server, which seems to require a "Developer Account" in order to do so.https://developer.okta.com/authentication-guide/implementing-authentication/ I'm a bit confused as to how to go about doing this. Do I somehow need to request that the "Developer" feature be added to our account? or do I need to sign up for this separately? Thanks

It is not necessary to start the application integration with a Developer account.From the documentation, "If you don’t have an existing authorizations server, or would like to create a new one, then you can find out how to do that in the Setting up an Authorization Server section." :https://developer.okta.com/authentication-guide/implementing-authentication/set-up-authz-serverAll you have to do in this case is configure one in your Production.
Of course, you can always either contact your Sales Reprentative to get a Developer Instance, if you would like to first test the integration.
