WilliamF.95477 (Customer) asked a question.

How do I customize the reset password email with out using the ${resetPasswordLink}?
I would like the reset password link to be www.mycompany.com/resetpassword/{recoveryToken} I do not want to use the okta url, how ever everytime I try to save my template I get the error that the ${resetPasswordLink} is required. It looks like the best option is to put the value in a hidden div but that seems hacky, is there a better option?

  • Hello William,

The scenario that you are trying to achieve at this time is not duable, how ever we do have a beta feature on the road map to have a Custom URL.

You can check the beta progress here (https://support.okta.com/help/oktaarchivedbetaprogrampage).

As an alternative you can also check this (https://support.okta.com/help/Documentation/Knowledge_Article/Customization-1510363316) documentation where you have the option to customize Password Management.

If you have a any further question please feel free to open a ticket with Support and we will be more then happy to assist you.
