How to "complete" SAML configuration? Setup Instructions are complete.
Created SAML Application in sandbox (oktapreview) for my service. I provide my service with URL for Identity Provider metadata.

Login flow works great. Everything appears to work.

But, on okta Admin->Applications->Sign On screen, it still says "SAML 2.0 is not configured until you complete the setup intructions."  Huh?

Setup Instructions consist, essentially, of the information available via the metadata url, so there's no need for me (as Identiy admin) to provide it to me (as Service provider) -- Only the metadata url is provided to the SP. What needs to happen to move the state from "not configured" to "configured"?

(I'm doing this on a free developer account, in case that makes a difference.)

  • It's just a warning, not a state marker.  If the app is working, you are good to go.

    Good to know, thanks.

Pity there's no way to manually mark it as such as it kinda leaves me hanging...

Is this still the general consensus? I have just configured Box for our organization and enabled provisioning, etc and I keep seeing this warning.

Everything appears to be working fine, but just wanted to verify - thanks!

I came here because of the same issue. This is very confusing specially because it imperatively states "is not configured until" but those aren't instructions, those are parameters.
