  • Hi Tom, In order to identify which infrastructure cell you are hosted please open a service request with Okta Customer Support. The assigned engineer will be able to provide that information to you directly.

    Chris,

Are there any plans to make the CELL information available programmatically or through the UI? That sounds like that could present a scalability issue to your department as Okta gains more customers.

        Thanks,

               Jessica

    Jessica,

The CELL information is currently available via the Administrator Console UI. Every Admin Console has a reference at the bottom left to the Current Version and Cell.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Chris.

Okta prides itself on providing programmatic access to its functionality. Is there an API call for accessing this information? The reason I ask is that we are planning on using Okta externally (we're an ISV), and we plan to use a hub and spoke model, with each of our clients in their own Okta Org, so checking numerous Orgs to see which ones were impacted by an issue would cause us scalability issues.

    Thanks,

           Jessica

    Jessica,

You are quite welcome. At present, Okta does not provide programatic access to the infrastructure information via the API. You raise a very important supportability topic for Hub & Spoke clients. I'd encourage you to either vote for an existing Idea or raise a new Idea voicing this for our Product Managers.
