Logging out of OKTA

Hello,

Two scenerios:

1. When our AD users open OKTA, they are automatically logged in. Sometimes, there is a need for them to logout so another person can login temporily to access an OKTA application. The OKTA logout button does not properly perform this action and therefore this temporary user can't access OKTA from the borrowed computer. Is there a solution, workaround, or informatin about this?

Hello Wayne,
The logout button actually does work, however because the method Okta uses to log the user in based on a kerberose ticket, the user is loged back in automatically when the access Okta. The user should log all the way out of windows for the temporary user to access Okta.
One other oprion, although less secure for the home user would be to open a window in a new browser and access "https://yourorghere.okta.com/login/default" to get prompted to log in to Okta without the automatic SSO kicking in. This leaves the original user logged into the domain, ( this is not something I would reccomend ) and allows a different user to loginto Okta.

If the user logs out and the other user uses https://companyname.okta.com/login/default they should be prompted for their credentials.
