Anyone have a reliable fix for the Mac OSX Safari IWA hang?
We're mostly PC based but have a couple of Mac laptops and have noticed that Safari has a tendancy to hang on the IWA stage of the login when a user is on-site. There are various suggestions on the web about how to resolve this, but none of them are particularly satisfactory - I can't go around clearing all browsing data every other day for the Mac users, for example. Has anyone else seen this issue, given it directly impacts Okta use on the Mac and if so any suggestions? Right now telling the users to use Chrome as their default browser is my best option.
- svcV.75126 (Customer)Hi Rob, i don't have many Mac's in my org so I haven't run across this. My assumption is that this would be less of an Okta thing and more of an IIS thing. How are your Mac's authenticating to the internal IWA server? What version of IWA do you have installed?Expand Post
Jamis Eichenauer (Customer)In IIS, I have seen Safari have issues with the Negotiate header. Removing it and only leaving NTLM can resolve this for Mac users. I have seen this change impact Firefox users, so full testing would be recommended.http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/118150/safari-7-cant-connect-to-intranet-using-http-authenticationExpand Post
