Reactivating previously deactivated users
Hi,

Currently deactivated users need to be manually reactivated if the corresponding AD account is re-enabled. My question is: is there another way to do this? It would be great to just have a tick box in the AD import config that says "Reactivate users automatically if the AD account is re-enabled". It would save a lot of work.

Thanks

David

  • Hi David,

It should work reactivating the account. What is your org name?

    Hi,

It does work, I just don't want to have to have someone log in and manually reactivate an account every time we reenable someone in our AD. My org name is missionaustralia,
  • Hi David

I've enabled an early access feature for your missionaustralia org that should assist with user reactivations going forward. All you should need to do now is re-enable the account in Active Directory and run an import. Once the import completes the user's account should reactivate in Okta.

We are actually experiencing a similar situation.  If an Active Directory account is re-enabled, we have to login to OKTA and link the OKTA user account back to the Active Diretory user account.  Is there a way this can be achieved automatically?

There is a feature that can be enabled on your Okta org that changes this behavior

David, could you enable this feature for my Org Infusionsoft?
  • Hey Josh

You should be good to go. This early release feature has now been added to your org. Again, the workflow goes like this. If you re-enable a disabled Active Directory account and run an Okta import, that AD account should subsquently be re-activated in Okta.

Hi - I've run into the same issue and would like the early access feature enabled on my org as well. Thank you.
