    Hello Sam,

That is an excellent question. With the App Team continually adding new apps to the catalog, and updating existing ones, it is important to know where to look to find the latest updates. There are multiple ways to access the information, and I have divided the details into sections to help clarify the separate methods.

To subscribe to Okta Admin notifications:

As an Admin one can select which email notices they wish to receive under the Settings tab: Admin Panel -> Settings -> Account

On the lower right in the Email Notifications section there is a checkbox that can be selected to receive Okta release notes and announcements as well as other useful alerts:

    OKTA COMMUNICATIONS
    • Okta release notes and announcements
    • Known issues and system outages
    • Scheduled system updates

To access historical data via the Okta Community:

In addition to the email notifications mentioned above, if one wishes to view current or historical release notes they can do so by visiting the Okta help center under the Release Notes & Alerts section. Navigate to the Okta help center and then select the Release Notes & Alerts link. It can also been accessed directly at https://support.okta.com/help/SearchAnnouncement, but to gain full access to the community forums will require signing in using Admin credentials for ones production org. Click the Okta Admin Login at the upper right corner of the resulting page (if your Admin username is not already populated) to sign in. You should then be prompted by a pop up which asks:
    • Please enter your Okta org below. You'll be redirected to your login page, which you can use to access the Okta Help Center directly.
    • After entering the subdomain of your Okta org, you will sign in using valid Admin credentials for that org.

To subscribe to Okta Community notices:

After authenticating one can view the release notes, and also subscribe to the Okta Help Center notices by editing the Email preferences in their Profile. From the Help Center select the dropdown next to the user name and click: My Profile -> More Actions -> My Settings -> Email Settings Choose to receive Okta Help Center emails so you don't miss important updates.

This allows one to select additional Community alerts which may be useful, and to adjust the frequency of these within certain constraints.

    What to look for:

When viewing the release notes there is a section called "Application Integrations" which lists the Apps (that have changed) by category. To help find a specific app the Engineering ticket number can be searched for, as it will appear next to the app name, contained within parentheses:

    MyApp (OKTA-####)

Some sample sections from recent release notes are below:

      Application Integrations
    •  We've implemented SAML for the following Okta Verified applications:
    •  We've implemented SAML for the following Community Created applications:
    •  We've implemented SWA for the following Okta Verified applications:
    •  We've added the following Mobile application for use with Okta Mobility Management (OMM):
Hopefully this clarifies how one can access the pertinent release notes. If not, please let us know, or if you have any additional questions or concerns do not hesitate to ask.
