Thanks for reaching Okta, my name is Vlad and I'll be helping you out.

In order for the user to be able to change that particular value we would need first to create that attribute in Okta.

    1. Directory -> Profile Editor -> Okta Profile -> Add attribute -> Save -> Edit the attribute that you just created and select "User permision - Read Write" and inherit from Okta ( because the value is being stored in Okta and you want it to leave from Okta also unless you have another Profile Master)

    2. Directory -> Directory Integrations -> Select your AD -> Settings -> Scroll till the bottom of the page and select Attribute Mappings - Edit Mappings -> Okta to AD and map that attribute accordingly towards an attribute extension from AD.

In case your having issues with this, please open a ticket with Okta Support and we'll help you out.
