Automate CSV import from authoritative source

I'm new to OKTA but not new to identity management.

 

My business requirement is for AD to be an application that OKTA provisions to, with an HR system being the authoritative source of identity data. There is no connector for the HR system, and I currently leverage a CSV extract for identity information. I'd like to shedule a daily import of that CSV data.

 

I can see how I can manually import data from a CSV but I can't see how I could define that CSV as a directory and assign it as the highest priority profile master.

 

There are a number of reasons for leveraging a CSV file but mostly it allows an amount of pre-processing of the identities and attributes that are extracted from the HR system.

    Hi Niall,

     

    Thanks for posting your inquiry in Okta Community.

     

    There is a limitation that we can't implement your CSV-import as a "Directory Mastered Profile" in Okta. But we may customized that calls thru API integration. If you still requiring this functionality, you can call our Okta Professional Services Department.

    I have heard from our sales engineer that they are doing an internal beta of CSV as a master, and more info may be coming in early 2017.

    Just following up on my own question. Did the beta ever surface ? I have a requirement for this again.

    Another bump on this. I had a couple of calls with Okta support to discuss the requirement, but nothing ever materialised.
