  • Hi,

My name is Silviu and I am a Technical Support Engineer (Tier II) at Okta.

The IWA flow presented here: https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Directory/Configuring_Desktop_SSO.htm

would grant access to your AD users based on a Kerberos ticket issued by the Operating System. Once they log into Windows, they are automatically authenticated in the Okta Portal as well, based on the DSSO configuration that can either be set up for non-SSL, as well as for SSL-enabled endpoints (by the use of an SSL Certificate).

Now, in regards to the apps, what you have to know is that the app's page need to sustain Modern Auth (ADAL) or SAML protocol for IWA to take effect there - upon a redirect to the Okta tenant for authentication and authorization.

For any further assistance please open up a case with Okta Support and get all the necessary pieces of information, if not provided yet.

Wish you all the best in your work!

    Thank You,

    Silviu Muraru
