List of Okta IPs to add to local firewall
Hi there,

We have Okta connected to our JIRA server but when configuring the provisioning we always get a timeout error. We've added all the IP ranges listed here: https://support.okta.com/help/Documentation/Knowledge_Article/Configuring-Firewall-Whitelisting-89944588 but only when opening the access to everyone we can get the provisioning working.

The IPs we've detected so far from Okta during our tests when the access was open are not included in any of the ranges from that list. Is it up to date? Should we be using any other lists?

We've also checked the Cloudfront ranges and those IPs weren't in any of those either.

Thanks and regards,

Antonio

  • Hi Antonio,

Thank you for reaching out to Okta Support, my name is Mircea and I'll be handling your case. What you need to do is make your ip s public. If you do not want to do that then you can opt for finding a tunneling tool like ngrok or Serveo.

    Thank You,

Thanks Mircea, we finally decided to open the access as suggested.

    Best regards,

    Antonio
