What is new in Okta for AI Agents - June 2026
Agent to Agent Connections (EA) - At the center of this is Agent-to-Agent Connections, a new capability of Okta for AI Agents that enables administrators to define:
- Per-agent connection policies.
- Which upstream services and agents can invoke an agent.
- Agent scope (what it can access).
- Session duration (how long that access lasts).
- Search, filtering, and configurable views for AI agents (GA) - Administrators can now use enhanced filtering, search, and configuration capabilities on the AI agents, AI agent providers, and Import Monitoring > AI agent import pages.
- Import AI agents from DataRobot and Anthropic Claude Platforms - Administrators can now import and manage AI agents built in the DataRobot Agent Workforce Platform directly through DataRobot and/or Anthropic Claude Platform. See AI agent imports.
Trigger Workflows Based on Agent Registration and Lifecycle Events - Administrators can now configure Workflows to trigger automatically from agent lifecycle events, so registrations are logged, owners are assigned, and removals are acted on the moment they happen. The AI agent APIs are now event hook-eligible, enabling Workflows to be triggered based on events. See Event hooks.
Easier Auth Server Integration with SCIM-Style API Parameters - Authorization server APIs now support SCIM filtering - the same standard developers already know.
Better Handling for Special Characters in Authorize API Calls - Special character encoding is now handled automatically across any supported OAuth 2.0-compliant identity provider.
Okta for AI Agents - Core - excludes Okta Privileged Access and Identity Security Posture Management SKUs. The Okta for AI Agents - Core SKU, which is the version of Okta for AI Agents, is available to FedRAMP Moderate and FedRAMP High customers. It is not available for Okta for the US Military.
