Spinning Wheel When Attempting to Create or Reauthorize an Okta Workflows Connection with Okta OIDC Application Credentials

A spinning (loading) wheel appears when attempting to create or reauthorize an Okta Workflows connection because the user is not assigned to the Workflows OAuth application or requires multiple sign-in attempts. Resolve this issue by verifying the application assignment in the Admin Console, using a different browser, or attempting the sign-in multiple times. When trying to reauthorize or create a new connection for Okta, the user sees a spinning wheel only within the pop-up window, and Okta returns no error.

There can be a few different causes:

1. The user is NOT assigned to the Workflows Oauth application in the Okta Administrator console.
2. Multiple attempts are needed to get in - Even when assigned to the application in the Administrator console.

How is the spinning wheel issue resolved when creating or reauthorizing an Okta Workflows connection?

Verify the application assignment in the Admin Console, test a different browser, and attempt the sign-in multiple times by following these steps.

1. Confirm that the user has an assignment to the Workflows OAuth application in the Admin Console.
2. Attempt to sign in using a different browser.
3. Attempt to sign in again on the same browser multiple times.
4. If the issue persists after completing the previous steps, submit a ticket to Okta Support.
