Solution
In this video, learn how to remove the format restriction for the Okta Username attribute.
The default format for Okta usernames is an email address. Modify this setting using the following steps:
- Choose Directory > Profile Editor in the Okta Admin Console.
- Click the Profile button next to Okta Profile (the topmost in the list).
- Click the blue i button next to the
loginattribute (topmost in the list) in the attributes list. - Select None from the Format restrictions drop-down list.
- Click Save Attribute.
