The following error occurs when attempting to delete a custom connector in Okta Workflows Connector Builder:
Error deleting project.
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
- Okta Classic Engine
- Okta Workflows
- Connector Builder
As mentioned in the Rename or delete a project documentation, this is the expected behavior, as a project can only be deleted if it meets all of the following criteria:
- The project contains no flows.
- The project contains no connections.
- There are no test versions of the project.
- The project has never been deployed.
Since Okta prevents deletion of a custom connector project that fails to meet the deletion criteria, administrators can rename the project to make it easier to identify in the UI.
Organize the project within the Okta Workflows console by applying a distinct prefix to the project name. As a recommendation, rename the project with a prefix such as "zEmpty" to easily identify the project as inactive or unused in the user interface.
