As part of production release 2024.06.1, scope customization is now available when creating/re-authenticating the Okta, Okta Device, and Okta Realms connection from the connection itself.

Custom scopes can be specified for OAuth connections to the Okta, Okta Devices, and Okta Realms connectors in Okta Workflows.
When creating or reauthorizing a connection, go to the Permissions tab in the connection window. Select Use Default Scopes to run any of the connector cards with the regularly assigned scopes. To use the customized scopes feature, specify the desired scopes in Customize scopes (advanced). Grant these scopes in the Okta Workflows OAuth app before creating or reauthorizing the connection:

As part of creating or re-authenticating the Okta, Okta Device, or Okta Realm connection, click on the new PERMISSIONS tab.
- To continue using the OAUTH app to manage scopes, click/ensure that Use default scopes is selected.
- To manage permissions directly in the connection, click/ensure Customize scopes (advanced) is selected and check/un-check scopes (or add as additional (as needed)).
