Okta does not support pushing custom group attributes during Group Push mapping. Only the Group Display Name and Group Membership sync during the push process. If a required custom group attribute is present, the group push mapping fails until an administrator changes the attribute to non-required in the Okta Profile Editor.

Does Okta support group push mapping with custom group attributes?

Okta does not support pushing custom group attributes during Group Push mapping. Okta only pushes the Group Display Name and Group Membership during the Okta Push Group process. It is normal and working by product design that custom group attributes do not push during Group Push mapping.

How is a group push mapping failure resolved when required custom attributes are present?

If a custom group attribute has the Attribute Required option enabled, Okta fails to complete the group push mapping. Change the custom group attribute to a non-required attribute type via the Okta Profile Editor and retry the group push mapping.
