This article clarifies the procedure for an Okta administrator who cannot sign in to an Okta tenant and needs to contact support. It outlines the steps to restore access and identifies administrative actions that Okta Support cannot perform.

Solution
Follow these steps to restore access or contact support when locked out:

Contact another active Super Admin within the organization to restore access via the Okta Admin dashboard.
NOTE: Okta Support cannot perform the following administrative changes:

- Create or add administrator users for any standard or custom role, such as Super Admin, Org Admin, or Group Admin.
- Add or modify user attributes, such as phone numbers or email addresses.
- Apply an administrator role to a non-administrator user.
