How to Re-Authenticate API Credentials for an Application Integration

Overview

This article provides steps to re-authenticate the Application Programming Interface (API) credentials for an Okta Integration Network (OIN) application integration. This process, also known as refreshing the application connector, is necessary to re-establish the secure link between systems when the connection expires or requires a new handshake, which can fix provisioning issues.

Solution
Follow the steps for the type of application integration that has been configured. Here are a few examples:
 

Example 1

  1. Navigate to Provisioning > Integration.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Click Test API Credentials.

  4. After the confirmation message "[App name] was verified successfully!" is displayed, click Save.

 

Example 2

  1. Navigate to Provisioning > Integration.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Click Re-authenticate with Microsoft Account.

  4. Follow the prompts to complete the re-authentication process.
  5. Click Save.
