This article describes the steps that need to be followed in order to extend the validity of the link for the "Registration - Activation" emails.
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
- Super Administrator Access
- Extend the validity of the ink for the "Registration - Activation" emails
Phase 1: In order to extend the Validity link for the "Registration - Activation" emails:
- Navigate to Okta Admin Console > Security > Authenticators.
- Under Authenticators > Setup > on Email authenticator, select Actions > Edit.
- A pop-up will appear under Settings from the dropdown menu. The validity email link can be extended from 5 minutes (Default) up to 30 minutes.
- Save the changes.
Phase 2: In order to check if the changes were applied to the email template, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Okta Admin Console > Customizations > Brands > select the needed Brand > select Emails > search for the Registration - Activation email template and select it.
- The email template will contain the "This link expires in x minutes" according to the timeframe configured previously in Phase 1, Step 3.
After the changes were applied, the screen should look similar to the screenshot below:
