This article details how to customize the default footer on the user welcome page, available for users signing in for the first time.

Solution
In Okta Classic Engine
Okta does not allow customization of the Okta Account Welcome Page using the Sign-In Widget Editor (as the Okta Account welcome page is not part of Sign-in Widget).
- If the tenant is running on Okta Classic Engine, it is recommended to upgrade to Okta Identity Engine to customize the new user welcome page using Code Edit in Okta Administrator Console.
In Okta Identity Engine
The welcome page experience utilizes the Okta Sign-in Widget, allowing customization.
- By default, the welcome page does not have a footer.
- To customize the above authenticator setup page, add an additional link using Customizations > Brands > Sub Domain link or Custom Domain link > Pages > Configure button > Labels > click on Edit.

- Using the above page, it is possible to customize the "link text" and "link URL" to improve end-user experience on the Authenticator page.
- Additionally, the footer on the login page can be customized using the Okta administrator console. Please use this link for more instructions.
- The user can access the authenticator setup page directly from the activation link.
