When attempting to create or authorize a connection to Google using one of the Google connectors in Workflows, the following error occurs:
Google hasn't verified this app
The app is requesting access to sensitive info in your Google Account. Until the developer <username> verifies this app with Google, you shouldn't use it.
- Okta Workflows
- Google Connectors for Okta Workflows
All of the Okta Workflows connectors for Google have been verified by Google. This error can occur if the Okta Workflows app for the corresponding Google connector already exists in Google and the Access to Google Data setting was manually changed from Trusted to Limited or Blocked by an Administrator from the Google Admin console.
In the Google Admin console:
- Navigate to Security > Access and data control > API controls. In the App access control section, click on MANAGE THIRD-PARTY APP ACCESS.
- An Okta Workflows or Okta Preview Workflows app will be seen for each Google connector that a connection has been created for in Okta Workflows.
NOTE: The app name for each Google connector in workflows is the same, but the OAuth scopes requested by each app will differ.
- To determine the access setting assigned to each app, hover over the app in the list and click View details. If the access is no longer set to Trusted for the Org Unit where the user that authorized the Google connection in Workflows resides, the Google hasn't verified this app error might be received when attempting to reauthorize an existing connection or create a new connection.
- To change the access, hover over the app in the list and select Change access.
- Select the applicable Org Unit of the user that authorized the Google connection in Workflows and click Next.
- Select Trusted and click Next.
- Click CHANGE ACCESS.
