Email Customization when Both the Default Okta Brand and Custom Brand Are Active

Overview

In the Okta environment where both a Custom brand and the Default brand are active, it is unclear which brand’s email templates are delivered.

Solution

The emails will be sent based on the domain used when performing the action associated with that particular email.

  • If the user logs in at company.okta.com, the default Okta brand, all emails come from the generic Okta sender with standard templates.
  • If the user logs in at login.company.com, the custom brand, all the emails come from the custom sender with customized templates.
