Overview

This will present how to disable/enable authenticators for password recovery in Okta Identity Engine (OIE).

Solution
Before setting password recovery rules, make sure the factors that are allowed to be used as recovery methods are set up. They can be recognized by the Used for field.
"Used for" field 
The account recovery method can affect the user enrollment process since the user must enroll in any recovery method they must perform  
  1. Go to Security > Authenticators > Password.
  2. Go to Actions > Edit
  3. Either edit the current rule of the policy or create a new policy with a new rule.
  4. Enable/Disable the authenticators for the Users can initiate recovery with, then save the settings option.
