Automation Email for Password Expiration/ Inactivity Template
Administration
Okta Classic Engine
Okta Identity Engine
Overview

Unedited emails from Automations might confuse users, as they could refer to either the password or the account status.

Applies To
  • Workflow
  • Automation
  • Email Template
Solution

The Automations setup allows for Okta end users to be notified via a schedule for either the Password expiration or Inactivity in Okta; however, the default template could create confusion, as it is the same message for both events:

 Notification

The template could be edited to reflect the event in cause, but keep in mind that the Automations need to be inactive in order to edit the HTML default template. Simply add the designated condition(s):

Notification

This could provide additional information related to the received Email, especially in an environment with multiple Automations.
