This article explains how to set the Default Relay State value in an application's Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) settings through the Okta Admin Console and details how the same link can be used in a bookmark app if required.

NOTE: The Default Relay State configured using the steps below will only honor the value for Identity Provider (IdP)- initiated flows. For Service Provider (SP)- related flows, the Relay State will need to be configured on the SP side.

Set the Default Relay State value in the application's SAML settings:

1. Access the Okta Admin Console.
2. Click Applications and then click the desired application.
3. Click the Sign On tab.
4. In the Settings pane, click Edit.
5. In the Default Relay State field, enter the desired landing page's URL.
6. Click Save.
