RADIUS Multi-Factor Authentication to Send Automatic Push Notification
Okta Classic Engine
Multi-Factor Authentication
Overview
In this scenario, the RADIUS application users are configured to use multiple factors (Okta Verify, SMS, and Voice Call, for example). If only enrolled in SMS and Voice call, they have the option to choose. However, once they enroll in Okta Verify, the push gets sent immediately upon login, and they cannot choose their factor.
Applies To
  • RADIUS
  • Okta Verify Push Notification
  • Okta Classic Engine
Solution

For the user to receive a push notification automatically, the RADIUS application Sign on tab Advanced RADIUS Settings must have the Permit Automatic Push for Okta Verify Enrolled Users checked. This option will be available only after selecting Accept password and security token in the same login request.
