The following reconfiguration has been identified as part of the preparation needed to perform the upgrade to Okta Identity Engine (OIE). Note that additional Okta features may require reconfiguration or be disabled in order to complete the upgrade. This article provides information regarding the reconfiguration of the Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) for On-Prem Exchange Domain Username feature required for an upgrade to OIE.
- EAS_ON_PREM_EXCHANGE_DOMAIN_USERNAME
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
- Exchange ActiveSync (EAS)
- On-Premises Microsoft Exchange
- Active Directory (AD) Mastered Users
The Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) for On-Prem Exchange Domain Username feature is incompatible with Okta Identity Engine (OIE). This feature enables the use of the domain\username format for on-premises Outlook Web App (OWA) applications with Active Directory (AD) mastered users, a format that OIE does not support.
The Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) for On-Prem Exchange Domain Username feature must be disabled before upgrading to Okta Identity Engine (OIE).
