This article addresses whether a security question can be pre-populated or selected for a user through the user interface (UI).
- Security Question
It is not possible to pre-populate or select a security question for a user through the user interface (UI). A user must configure their own security question. If required, the user is prompted to set it up during enrollment.
To optionally set up a security question after enrollment:

Sign in to the Okta Dashboard.

Select the username in the top-right corner.

Select Settings.

Select Edit Profile.

In the Security Question section, click Set up.

Select a predefined security question or create a custom one.
