SerhiiK.83763 (Customer) asked a question.

Super Admin unable to update application settings or contact Okta Support

Hello,

I have the Super Administrator role in our Okta organization, but I am experiencing two permission-related issues:

  1. When I try to update application settings, I receive a message stating that I do not have permission to perform the action, despite being a Super Administrator.
  2. I am also unable to create an Okta Support ticket. There is no option available to contact Support from my account.

I have checked with other administrators in our organization, and none of them appear to have access to the Support ticket creation option either.

Could you please advise how we can contact Okta Support to investigate and resolve these issues? In particular, we would like to understand why a Super Administrator cannot modify the application settings and why no administrators in our organization have access to Support.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hello @SerhiiK.83763 (Customer) Thank you for posting on our Community page!

As a super administrator you should not have any type or restrictions. As for the reason of why you can not open a support case would be that you do not have Case permissions or you currently have a Free/Integrator account which this type of orgs do not have access to support.

If you have a paid service with Okta then you should assign Case permissions to the Super admins, which you can review the doc below:

    https://support.okta.com/help/s/article/assigning-the-case-admin-permission-to-okta-admins?language=en_US

If you have an Integrator account, at this time there are features that these type of Orgs do not have access to and that would be the reason for the "Do not have permissions" message.

Thank you for reaching out to our Community and have a great day!
