Locked out of Okta admin account after adding IP

Hello, I recently added an IP address in Network Zones for my free integrator plan. Unfortunately, it seems that the IP has changed and I can no longer access my admin dashboard. There is no other admin account available.

Is there a way to remove the IP address from the Network Zones without being able to access it?

Hi @ThierryK.17828 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

Adding an IP address to the Network Zones should not block access unless you added it to the "BlockedIpZone" or have configured authentication policies to only allow access from specific IPs and that particular one is not allowed.

    • If you are dealing with a blocked IP, you will need to leverage a different network (for example sign in through mobile device carrier), then edit the configuration.
    • If you are dealing with restricting authentication policies and do not have access to any of the allowed IPs, there is no way to regain access to free trial/integrator accounts.

Please note that free trial/developer/integrator accounts are outside of Okta Support scope and are only recoverable via self-service provided that you have configured the appropriate policies and backup accounts.

The only option left is to sign up for a new free trial or integrator account with a new email and leverage those for testing.

Beyond that, engaging our Okta Sales team to discuss the matter of acquiring Okta Support services would be the only option as it is unfortunately completely outside of the Okta Community Team's scope.

Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) who have published applications in the OIN can send an email to developers@okta.com with the subject: "ISV - <issue description>" .
