Good day everyone,
We are in the process of testing Okta Desktop MFA for our business and we setup both for Windows and Mac. Windows works perfectly fine but having a little trouble with Mac. We push our policies through Intune. The challenge that we are facing with Mac is being prompt for Okta while the screen is locked. If the user is logged off the machine and signs in, Okta Desktop prompts. If the screen is locked, user types their password and they can log in without being prompted by Okta. We are also trying to configure a timeout period if the user is inactive as well.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you

Hi @DemetriusP.10961 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!
Desktop MFA for Windows can prompt MFA when unlocking the screen. However, this feature is not available for Desktop MFA for MacOS. This is by design and users can use TouchID to unlock screen.
Given the native TouchID is a highly convenient and secure method, also widely used by users, the Okta MFA prompt on MacOS has not yet been implemented.
Please open a ticket to discuss your use case and needs in detail with our Okta Support colleagues for a potential push to the Product team.
