Device Access/FastPass

Hello,

 

I have the Okta Verify app installed on my corporate Macbook and it is running in the background without any device health issues. However, when I sign into the Okta page, I am being forced to select the number on the Okta Verify app on my mobile device, rather than receiving a prompt on the Macbook app asking "Did you just try to sign in?". Clicking "Yes, it's me" is much easier than accessing my mobile device and selecting the number.

 

Why does FastPass only work intermittently?

    Your Okta FastPass configuration will need to be reviewed, but typically you should be prompted with "Sign in with Okta FastPass" option when logging in. Once you click on it, the browser checks for the Okta Verify app and allows access. 

    If you: 

    • clear your cookies, 
    • use an aggressive ad-blocker, 
    • or if your corporate VPN temporarily blocks local ports, 

     the browser might not detect the app.  

    If you have multiple accounts, check to see which one you have set as default

     

    If you continue experiencing issues with the app and are an admin, please open a case to work with our colleagues from the Okta Support team to investigate. 

    If you are not an Okta Admin, please reach out your company's or service provider's IT support or Help Desk so they can review the matter and provide further assistance.
