nntw4 (nntw4) asked a question.

Additional Okta Agent with existing agent on another computer

My current Okta agent will expire next week and I would like to create a Okta Agent for AzureAD sync on another computer as a secondary for when the first one expires. If I add the second one with a different admin user, will it mess up the sync from the primary Okta agent that was created by another user?

  • Hello @nntw4 (nntw4) Thank you for posting on our Community page!

Adding a new Okta Ad Agent should not affect the settings, please see our doc on how to setup multiple AD Agents:

    https://help.okta.com/oie/en-us/content/topics/directory/ad-agent-multiple-agents.htm

Thank you for reaching out to our Community and have a great day!

An okta agent doestn really expire..its always refreshing. unless you mean something like the machine itself will be shutdown. if thats the case just spin up a new agent installation on a different machine/server and follow the instructions. this will add the new agent to your pool and then you can disable the old agent
