We recently started using the Slack integration for Okta access requests. I'm wondering if there's a better way to get notified through Slack when my request is approved.
Right now when I initially make an access request, I get a Slack direct message notification that a message thread has started. This is not particularly useful for me because I know that, I have just made the request.
When I would want to be notified is when there are replies to the message thread after it starts, so I don't have to check my email or keep checking back and opening the thread to see if I've been approved. Currently there is no indication anywhere in Slack that I've gotten any more messages, because they're all in the thread.
Is there a way to configure getting notifications for every thread reply? In regular Slack channels, I've configured that, but I wasn't seeing that option for the Okta app. I thought of replying to the thread to make sure I'd be notified, but it says "Reply to this thread to update this request" and it's unclear what the consequences are of replying with a random note to myself. Will a certain keyword in the reply be a command that cancels my request? Do all replies to that thread update the people who are approving the request? etc.
Thanks!
