Microsoft - Use custom email provider - Unable to connect to SMTP server

Hey Oktaites!!

 

I wonder if anyone can save my computer from being ejected out of the Window?

 

For the life of me I cannot get our 365 email account to link with Okta I have gone through every document relating to sending system emails via our SMTP via Microsoft. Config is correct using the settings as outlined in documentation. Ensured the basics, MFA not enabled, SMTP Auth Active etc, TLS .

 

I have toggled every possible setting in Admin 365, Exchange Admin and Entra Admin and not a single thing makes a bit of differences. Been stuck on the most simplest part for 7 hours and feel like a thicko! Even our Head of Dev who spent his early career developing missile guidance systems gave up after 2 hours.

 

I am sure there is something I am missing as it seems a lot of people have this issue but every forum doesn't have a solution - which makes me feel it was so embarrasinly simply no update was needed hehe

    This issue seems too complex to be addressed here. I recommend that you open a Support ticket (Customer Support Account ID number required) so one of our engineers can analyze it and provide in-depth troubleshooting. You could also provide more details in a ticket that shouldn’t be given here, as this is a public space. That should include the troubleshooting you've attempted, which settings you've tried to change, and the details of your configuration.
