Okta browser plugin: Navigation via down arrow key glitches, seems to lose focus

I'm experiencing a minor but persistent annoyance with the Okta browser plugin. I have arranged my SSO application tiles so that my most-used items are at the top of the list. This setup used to allow me to do the following shortcut, several times per day:

 

  1. Hit the cmd-shift-O keyboard shortcut to open the Okta browser plugin in Google Chrome.
  2. Hit the down arrow key ↓ on my keyboard a few times to select to the item I want to launch.
  3. Hit the Return key to launch it.

 

Recently, however, the selected item in the list loses selection as I'm navigating to it and I have to start again from the top of the list. It's not a huge problem — when I hit the down arrow key a few times again, it seems to work the second time around. However, it's consistently irritating and slows down my navigation.

 

Selecting items with the mouse doesn't seem to be affected, but requires me to take my hands off the keyboard.

 

I've observed the same behavior in the Firefox browser plugin. I've also observed the same behavior on an older, Intel-based MacBook. I haven't tested on Windows.

 

Browser plugin version: V6.39.0.73.125.0

MacOS 15.5 (ARM64)

Chrome version: Version 137.0.7151.104 (Official Build) (arm64)

 

I can provide a screen recording of the behavior, if that would be helpful. Please advise if there's any workaround.

    I've be able to replicate the described behavior and I've not yet seen any other reports of this kind. 

    If you have an account with us and are a SuperAdmin/Case Admin, please open a case to work with my colleagues from the Support Team to investigate this further. They'll be able to access additional tools and resources to review the matter and if necessary submit it to Engineering for a bug-fix.  

    If you are not an Admin, please reach out to your internal IT team responsible for your Okta Environment management and they should be able to submit a ticket so our Okta Support colleagues can start looking into this.
