Using Two Profiles with the OKTA Verify Desktop App Issue

So I have been using this OKTA Verify app for around 8 months now and this issue just started. I have 2 accounts at work one is a standard account the other is an admin account. I put both on the OKTA desktop app for authenticating when switching between profiles. For some reason now whatever account that is set as default for Okta fast pass autofill's any login prompt and there's no way to back out and sign in with something else. Has anyone else been dealing with this and if so what is the fix thank you!

  • Hello @SeanM.12311 (Customer) Thank you for posting on our Community page!

Default for Okta FastPass: When you have multiple accounts in Okta Verify for the same Okta tenant, Okta FastPass is designed to pick one account as the default for initiating the authentication flow. If you haven't explicitly set a default, it might randomly select one, or the one you used most recently might become the implicit default.

Okta FastPass is designed for a seamless, often passwordless, experience. When it identifies the default account, it tries to proceed with authentication quickly, sometimes bypassing the option to manually enter a username or select a different account.

At this time, the behaviour you are seeing is expected behaviour, however you can add a Feature Request on our Idea section, for a chance that this functionality to be added in the future.
