How to have a preset value for custom user attributes - Okta Admin Console

Hi,

I’m trying to determine if we can set a default value for a custom user attribute in the Profile Editor. For example, if I create Attribute X and select the Enumerated List of Values option, is it possible to preset its value to “Yes” or “No” by default? That way, when viewing a user’s profile, the attribute would already have a predefined value (yes/no) instead of having to manually changing it by editing the user's profile.

Hello @3b0kd (3b0kd) Thank you for posting on our Community page!

At this time, this is not an available option. However if you use that attribute for an application group assignment, then you can define what value to be used by the group.

You can add a Feature Request on our Idea section, for a chance that this functionality to be added in the future.
