x23x3 (x23x3) asked a question.

Downgrading an Okta Enterprise trial account

I've created an Enterprise trial account and configured SSO in my app. It is a bit unclear but I think I just need the free tier and would like to downgrade.

Is there any way I can do that? I'm not allowed to create support cases on a trial account. I'd rather not delete the account and start over, but if I have to I'll just pick another technology where it's easier to understand which kind of account I'll need. Then all future customers will see another SSO provider in the demos (free marketing for them instead of for Okta).

  • Hello @x23x3 (x23x3) Thank you for posting on our Community page!

At this time this change can not be done, as a Free trial can only be converted to Paid service. However if you want to used Okta to test application, we would recommend using a Developer account, as the trial expires after 30 days where the developer is free to use.

You can do this from here:

    https://developer.okta.com/signup/

Note: You might need to use a different email address as the one used will be associated with an Okta org and that can not be removed.
