Exchanging Okta tokens for Github User Tokens - External Application

We're building an application that needs access to several enterprise services that need authentication at the user level. One specific example is access to Github organizations. Our company has several different organizations and allowing our application to access organizations that a user is a member of without requiring users to go through the authentication flow for each organization independently would be ideal. The problem currently is that we aren't sure how to exchange our okta credentials for a user token that allows us to interact with the github api. This problem is similar across most of our okta managed applications. Any guidance or docs on this would be extremely helpful!
