u4qgs (u4qgs) asked a question.
We find that too many things can be done the wrong way when it comes to Okta Verify at first logon after Autopilot. There are a few auto-start services such as Global Protect VPN that rely on FastPass being set up before they can authenticate. Not only does Verify and Global Protect fight for the top-most window spot, but if you try to logon to the wrong one first. Many times, you cannot even see the right window as it's hidden behind the other.
I'm looking for a way for Task Schedulers to hook into a log or other event when Okta Verify has finished enrolling a user so it can launch the other apps that rely on it. I intend to install Global Protect and remove it's auto start entry, only launching it after Verify has finished registration. The best I've found is %localappdata%\Okta\OktaVerify\DataStore.db goes from 20KB to 56KB but this is not very reliable. The Event log for Okta Verify only seems to have warnings and errors so no event for "registration complete".

Hello @u4qgs (u4qgs) , thank you for contacting Okta Community.
I've reviewed our documentation for something relevant. The following article may help you find the logs you've been looking for:
Collect Okta Verify Logs from Desktop (MacOS / Windows)
Beyond this, I recommend that you open a Support ticket (Customer Support Account ID number required) so one of our engineers can analyze the issue and provide in-depth troubleshooting. You could also provide more details in a ticket that shouldn’t be given here, as this is a public space.
Please note that opening a support ticket is a feature available only to paid accounts. If you do not have a paid account, but are interested in upgrading, you can contact our Sales team.
Regards.
