Unable to create workflow API connector for OKTA API

Hi @Everyone,

I have a requirement to access few OKTA APIs from the workflows. I need to have an authentication token with limited scopes so I configured an API services application with client ID and client secret and all the required API scopes. Then, I navigated to workflow console and attempted to create "API connector" connection with following details,

Access Token Path: https://{oktaDomain}/oauth2/v1/token

Client ID: <Taken_from_API_service_App>

Client Secret: <Taken_from_API_service_App>

However, I am unable to create connection with message "Failed to connect". Can you please help me understand if I missed anything?

Note: I cannot use the token from (API > Tokens) because, I need only some scopes related to directory group management for the token

Hello @Naga KishoreI.14293 (Customer) Thank you for posting on our Community page!

You can create an Okta connection "Okta Workflows Connection - Insufficient Scope". clicking the PERMISSIONS tab then you can select CUSTOM and select the scopes that you want this connection to use, then you can then use this limited permissions OKTA connection with either the custom API card or whatever cards it is allowed to use (scopes for cards).

As a best practice, you should make it clear in either the connection name or description that this is a connection with limited scopes and even list the ones granted.
