y1e8r (y1e8r) asked a question.
Hello Team,
I have just created a developer instance with Okta that include the "dev-*******.okta.com" domain.
Is this domain "usable" in the was as you were able to use the on.microsoft.com domains? can I verify this domain in a third party integration so I can provision users with the domain "dev-*******.okta.com" to my third-party app? or for SAML SSO?or this domain cannot be used on this way?
I asked because the third party app is asking me to verify this domain by using a TXT record or HTTPS and I don't find where to do it on the Administration Panel.

I am not clear about your question. Yest I like to suggest the following 2 points
1- You can you developer tenant. Once it is provisioned it is ready to use.
2- Regarding domain verification, please check Configure a custom domain
Hello @y1e8r (y1e8r) , thank you for contacting Okta Community.
If the Service Provider requires you to create a TXT record, then you would need to own the domain (which you cannot do for the *.okta.com domain). In this case, you can try to set up a custom domain on your org. You can read more about it here:
Brand and Customize - this is the main article on customizations from our Developer colleagues
Customize domain and email address - this is the detailed guide
If you encounter any trouble during the process, I advise reaching out to our Developers colleagues via devforum.okta.com as they will have more insight into this topic.
While we'll do our best to answer your questions here, this medium is more inclined towards Okta's core products and features (non-developer work).
Regards.
