OKTA AD Agent install failed

Hello, guys.

 

Can you help me? I'm having trouble to install OKTA AD Agent.

the requirements are OK, following this URL: https://help.okta.com/en-us/content/topics/directory/ad-agent-prerequisites.htm

 

On installation, the step for activate devide is done, but on final step is showing error.

Caused by Okta.Api.OAuthException received with message Could not fetch a new access token Source=OktaWebAPI InnerException=Okta.Api.OktaApiException: Unexpected status code 401 Unauthorized for URL https://xsitedemo.okta.com/oauth2/v1/token

    Hi @godbp (godbp)​ , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community! 

     

    Unfortunately this is a fairly generic error and I haven't seen any similar reports for version 3.19 as of yet, so I won't be able to provide a specific troubleshooting step.

    It could be that there is something wrong with the permission level for the Admin account leveraged for the installation.  

    I've also seen situation where the server time was skewed so you should check that the time is synced. 

    If this is a new install, you can look into deleting the installation folder (typically C:\Program Files(x86)\Okta\Okta AD Agent\) so you can start a fresh one incase there's something wrong with the old config files, then retry. Make sure to back them up in a different location in case you need them.  

    Beyond that, if you have an account with us and are a SuperAdmin/Case Admin, please open a case to work with my colleagues from the Support Team to investigate this further. They'll be able to access additional tools and resources to help you get to the bottom of it.
