Hi,
We've recently implemented Okta but haven't yet procured the lifecycle management license. Consequently, we will not ba able to synchronize or push the Okta passwords to Google Workspace.
Could you please outline the potential drawbacks or risks associated with this configuration where Okta and Google passwords differ?

If you have configured Google with SSO, then a password is no longer needed for the Google account, as Okta will be the IDP and will authenticate users though SAML and not using the password.
Additionally, if SSO has not been yet setup, there should not be any problem if Google and Okta have different passwords, the only drawback in this case will be that your users will need to remember 2 passwords.

So for example if users want to add their Google Workspace account to their mobile phone, it will be supported and the login will be forward to an Okta login on the mobile?
Hello @fwcfv (fwcfv) Correct, users will be directed to Okta for authentication, regardless of the device they are using.

Thanks for your help so far.
We decided to purchase the Okta lifecycle management license.
And we have a few non-typical users on Google Workspace (GWS) like consultants, short term interns, temps etc.
Will they have to have an Okta account once we sync the Okta and GWS credentials? or will they still be able to use and login to GWS without an Okta account?
